Kate goes to the zoo

James was so excited about taking Kate to the zoo.

It's been super hot, but we decided we had to go see her reaction to the animals.

She pointed and talked to the animals a lot. It was so cute!

Hello Giraffe! Hello Elephant!

It was so hot, we stayed for an hour and headed out. We were all sweating to death, and Kate immediately fell asleep in the car. We got passes that last for a year, so we will be spending some time at the zoo once it cools off - it's been so nice the last few days.. maybe we'll go this weekend!

Next on our list.. the aquarium!

Kate goes to the beach!

We had a great time at Myrtle Beach in August.

We went with Mel, Lisa, Melissa and Stan. It was so fun and relaxing to get away for a few days!!

Kate wasn't so sure of the beach. It was really her first experience since she was too little to do anything last time.

As I feared, she was not a fan of the sand or water. Is that crazy?? I thought so, but we went with it. :) Any time she got sand on her hands, she held them up for us to clean them. She wouldn't walk on the sand without her Crocs - good thing we got them.

Check out the shoes! We are shoe obsessed these days.

She loved wearing her sunglasses... for a little while. She took them off and put them on about 10 times.

And Aunt Melissa took her on some walks, which she really enjoyed.

The last time we went to Myrtle Beach with the family.. it was about 7 years ago? Melissa was only 6! Time flies.

Can't wait for our next trip to the beach. Maybe we will like water by then. :)

Kate's new class

I realize I have been very bad about posting lately!! It's been a busy little summer, and I'm hoping the fall will bring calmer times at work. Here's some catching up!

Kate is no longer in the "Beautiful Butterflies" class. She has moved up to the "Bouncing Bears". It's exciting and a little sad at the same time... she's growing up so fast!

Here's here last day in Ms. Dina's class.

With baby Kellan. BTW, he is 6 months younger than Kate, but wearing 24 month old clothes!! (Kate wears 18 month).

So Ms. Dina told me on Kate's last day that Kate is her favorite baby. She told me I must have more babies for her! Well I don't know about that, but it was sweet of her to say! :)

She has done so well - it was the easiest transition. She had no trouble at all being in the new room, and she got to see all her old friends. I thought we might have trouble with naps since they now sleep on a mattress on the floor instead of the crib, but no. She was fine!

Kate is sitting with Von. They moved up at the same time.
