Finally, I have put our new camera to use. I'm starting to learn how to use it. I had to read the manual for the first time!! I knew what I wanted to do, but I had to learn about aperture and stuff (did I even spell that right? you know what I'm talking about if not).

Sunday was my birthday!! 32. That sounds old to me. But it's fine. I think this birthday was the best of all - just hanging out with James and Kate was so fun. He got me a cake, which we have eaten half of as of tonight.

I'm still working on Kate's ladybug costume for Halloween. Of course I had to try out the headband on the cat!! She was not impressed.

We spent Sunday morning hanging out at home in our pj's. Hey, Kate is 8 months old!!! How did that happen..

She totally tried to sit up in her bouncy seat. No more sitting this thing on the counter! It now sits on the floor in the kitchen while we get ready in the morning. More stuff on Kate in a min.

For my birthday, I wanted to get some pumpkins for our front porch. It was so cold on Sunday! We went to the Glenn Memorial Church at Emory to get some pumpkins. The were super cheap - we got 1 large and 1 small for only $6. I think a large one is $12 at Pike. What a rip off!

Kate was delighted by the pumpkins. She liked touching the stems mainly.
I picked Kate up from school on Monday, and on the way home she started saying, "baa baa baa baa baa." That is that first time I've ever heard her do it! She also had some, "daa daa daa daa" in there, too. Of course by the time we got home, she wouldn't do it for James.
Tonight was a different story - she could not stop saying, "da da da da da da" over and over again! And she is rolling around like crazy. Like, 2 rolls one direction, then 3 rolls back the other way. It was insane!! Here's some video (and yes we are watching her like a hawk up there on that bed, don't worry - she goes on the floor when it's just one of us).
